On July 15th 2023, while I was leaving work with my bro Pat, Pat decided to go to the ABC Store (Liquor store for my Jersey folk). Upon arriving Pat asked me “Yo bro you coming in” thinking nothing of it, I declined. Pat got out the car then doubled down and asked me again to come in, again I declined. When Pat got back in the car he started laughing and explained “That lady in there called me a baby” to which I replied “What lady? How she look?” Pat told me “She your type bro” and honestly I didn’t believe him. But I decided to go in anyway. When I walked in I saw this beauty of a woman behind the counter, obviously couldn’t walk in just to stare so I proceeded to buy something. I grabbed a bottle of Patron and brought it to the counter. The beautiful lady said “Ew, you like this?” I laughed and said “show me what you like”. When she came from behind the counter, I got a chance to see her close up and it felt like my heart stopped, this was the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen. I can’t even remember the bottle she picked for me, at this point I didn’t care. When we got to the counter I told her “My lil brother finally got it right”. She replied “what do you mean?” “The guy that just came in, that was my lil brother” I explained. “He said you was my type, he was right” She blushed then swiftly replied “Tell him I said thank you because you are my type too” I almost drew a blank in disbelief but was able to get out the words “What’s your number” but instead she made me write down my number. The very next Saturday (July 22nd 2023) we went on our first date and from the moment we sat across each other at dinner, I knew I’d be having dinner with her for the rest of our lives
